Our Story
Our master upholsterer has dedicated more than 50 years to the art of upholstery. His interest in the trade began in high school through a vocational building trades program, where he first learned upholstery techniques. He also took home economics classes to develop the sewing skills that remain an important part of his craftsmanship today.
After school, he continued learning by working in a professional upholstery shop alongside an experienced German upholsterer. Over the decades, he refined his skills through hands-on experience, eventually operating his own upholstery shop on Edison Street in Kalamazoo before moving the business to its current location.
Today, every project reflects the same pride and attention to detail that have guided his work for decades. Whether matching floral patterns so every flower flows naturally across a chair, aligning stripes and plaids with precision, or restoring a treasured family heirloom, he believes quality craftsmanship is found in the details.
